Our Policies
Cancellations: Because Life Happens
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel your tour, please notify us as soon as possible. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
Full Refund or Credit: Cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the tour’s start time to receive a full refund or a credit for future use, your choice!
No Refunds for Late Cancellations: If you cancel less than 24 hours before the tour’s start time, your payment will not be refunded.
No-Show Policy: Because all Vermont Wayfinders guided tours are private experiences, your timely readiness ensures we can deliver the best possible service.
If your group is not ready to depart within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time, it will be considered a no-show, and the full price of the tour will be charged. We understand that delays happen—please contact us as soon as possible if you’re running late so we can do our best to accommodate you. However, extended delays may result in adjustments to the tour itinerary or cancellation without refund.
Rebooking Options
You may rebook your tour online up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time at no additional cost.
Operator Cancellations
If Vermont Wayfinders cancels a tour due to weather, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund or credit for future use, whichever you prefer.
Changes to Your Booking
Changes made less than 24 hours before the tour’s start time cannot be accommodated.
All cancellation cut-off times are based on the tour’s local time.
Travel Insurance: A Little Peace of Mind Goes a Long Way
We highly recommend snagging some solid travel insurance before any adventure, including a Vermont Wayfinders tour! Think of it as a safety net for the unexpected—trip cancellations, surprise curveballs, or any hiccups along the way. It’s a small investment for big peace of mind.
Liability Waiver: A Quick “Sign & Shine” Moment
Before we hit the road, we’ll need you to sign a quick waiver. It’s just a friendly little agreement acknowledging that outdoor adventures come with a sprinkle of risk. Nothing scary, just a legal nod that you're good to go. We take safety very seriously and do everything possible to keep things smooth, but a little paperwork never hurt anyone.
Health & Safety: Because Feeling Good = A Better Adventure
Your well-being (and ours!) is a top priority. If you have any medical conditions or dietary restrictions, please let us know when booking so we can make sure you’re well taken care of.
Feeling under the weather? We kindly ask that you reschedule if you’re sick—whether it’s the sniffles, a cough, or you’re just feeling off. We spend a lot of time together on our tours, and no one wants to swap germs instead of stories! Just reach out, and we’ll work with you on rescheduling.
Code of Conduct: Good Vibes Only
We’re all about creating an unforgettable experience, and a little mutual respect goes a long way. Here’s how to keep the good times rolling:
Be Kind & Considerate – Treat fellow travelers, your guide, and the locals with the same kindness you'd want in return.
Leave No Trace – Nature is awesome. Let’s keep it that way by respecting the great outdoors.
Listen Up – Your guide’s got your back (and all the best local stories!). Following instructions keeps everyone safe and on track.
Drink Responsibly – If your tour includes alcohol consumption, enjoy, savor, but keep it classy. Tipsy and scenic backroads don’t mix well.
